My father was a dentist, so I grew up with dentistry all around me. Over the years, I've seen some amazing changes in dental care. Things that have revolutionized dentistry, such as dental implants, which have literally given some of my denture wearing patients a new lease on life.
A Powerful Education
"The training I gained in dental school enabled me to offer good, effective dentistry. But I want to offer great dentistry. That's why I often take two to three times the required continuing education each year - much of it dedicated to improving my knowledge of techniques like implant dentistry."
Undergraduate studies:
Concentration in Sciences, Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI 1976-1979
D.D.S., Marquette University School Of Dentistry, Milwaukee, WI, 1983
Graduate, Implant Seminars, Alabama Implant Study Group, 1987
Implant Surgical & Prosthetic Program, Misch Implant Institute, University of Pittsburgh, 1990
Ongoing postgraduate work on implantology through continuing education courses and seminars. Of the 50 hours per year of continuing education Dr. Fornetti takes each yearn 40+ are related to implant dentistry.
Sharing Knowledge With Others
"There's not much point in having the ability to do the latest dental procedures if no one knows they exist, or other benefits. That's why I prepare articles for local papers, and participate on local talk shows to get the word out."
